“…It seems to be a comedy, but I will definitely cry…”

Continuing with Ai Yazawa’s series: Paradise Kiss. This song is “Lonely in Gorgeous” by Tommy February6 for the anime version. I still remember how I waited to watch the newest episode on Animax channel… at that time I didn’t understand what the lyric meant at all, but the beat and melody, to me, seem to fit so much with the manga and its plot. 

I like Yukari, I can relate to her feelings, and her relationship with George. The fact that they aren’t together is bittersweet, and more ‘realistic’. This is no fluffy fairy tale, and George honestly isn’t a good option for a stable, long-term relationship. There’s also a movie version, I enjoy most of it until the ending, when they got together. This is a big and daring change, which makes the series look somewhat mundane IMHO, although it’s surely more satisfying for a lot of readers. Btw, movie-George isn’t that great either :-P However, since we’re Paradise Kiss fans, we should watch it :-)
